Sessions 4-7: 15/10/23 - 12/11/23

• PCs are questioned and robbed by 6 Blades of Khazari.
• Sir Ares reveals she is a woman, and her name is Demi.
• PCs are denied entry into Bordarahl by Tomek. They’re given two possible missions to gain entry: slay the 6 Khazari, or slay Maravor.
• PCs defeat the 6 Khazari at Honeyside, but not before the Khazari ruin the Firework Arrows operation.
• PCs gain entry to Bordarahl. They run into Kromnir, and Nazzour & Rinbera.
• PCs reach Ebaris.

The Khazari

While travelling to Bordarahl, the PCs and Lifos are stopped by 6 Blades of Khazari. They ask several questions about the PCs and their plans, and reject “Sir Ares” as Ares’ real name.

The Khazari also examine the PCs’ equipment. They take their gold, the gold pocket watch, and the remaining Great Teloorg root. They also crush Damian’s sea shell, and waste a firework arrow. The PCs explain the explosive arrows are from Honeyside.

Tomek

The PCs and Lifos continue to Bordarahl. Ares says she’s a woman, and her real name is Demi.

The PCs are denied entry to Bordarahl. The guard captain Tomek says he’s heard of a battle in Port Yulia, and of a red dragon roaming the Stormshield Valleys. He says he cannot let the PCs through unless they prove their trustworthiness.

Tomek offers two possibilities: return with the dragon’s head or with 6 Khazari jaw guards (within a week). The PCs convince Tomek to give them two horses, so they can stop the Khazari before they cause trouble at Honeyside.

Honeyside

The PCs reach Honeyside in the night, and hear several firework arrow explosions. With the help of various potions and bits of equipment, the PCs and Lifos defeat all 6 Khazari, although they accidentally destroy a jaw guard in the process.

The PCs learn from Analyn and Oskin that the Khazari only arrived a few hours ago. They questioned the halflings extensively, and wasted all their firework arrows.

The PCs loot the Khazari, and retrieve their stolen goods. Ares again feels the need to spread the Teloorg root around Iparra, and has a vision of Vangurn nodding in approval. The PCs also take some Khazari armour and Blue Basalt.

The PCs give Analyn 2500gp to help rebuild the firework arrow operation. Analyn writes a note for Tomek saying the PCs rescued Honeyside, and defeated 6 Khazari.

Bordarahl

The PCs and Lifos return to Bordarahl. Tomek seems sceptical about whether the PCs really defeated all 6 Khazari, but he lets them into Bordarahl and gives 3000gp and the two horses they borrowed as a reward. He says the Stormshields cannot yet trust the PCs, but slaying Maravor would change this.

At the Snowed Inn, the PCs meet Kromnir. He says he was unable to convince the Giantbreakers to take action against the Drow. He also says he found a dangerous entrance to the Underdark east of Bordarahl, near the River Yule. Kromnir intends to investigate the drow further, and will travel towards Girdahn.

Nazzour & Rinbera (agents of the Servant) appear, and ask the bartender about the PCs’ whereabouts - not realising the PCs are sitting right at the bar. The bartender and Kromnir help distract the two stupid dwarves while the PCs slip out.

Ebaris

The PCs leave Bordarahl immediately. While camping, Reginald dreams of the Great Teloorg being worshipped by several people, including Heiko.

The PCs reach Ebaris, and begin to explore the city.
