Sustenance
The PCsReginald & Sir Ares investigate the purple glowing root growth. Amed absently mentions “the Great Teloorg”.
Ares takes a portion of the root growth, they all eat some of the fruits, and they learn the plant’s bulbous growths have magical restorative properties.
The cellar
The next morning, the PCs see Eldar Point Light to the north. They find Winslow at the lighthouse, having just come up from the cellar.
In the cellar, they find more of the strange root growth. Winslow admits to “cultivating” the roots, and Wake tells the PCs that he and Winslow have been eating the glowing fruits.
Descent
In the night, Reginald sees a disturbing vision of Wake atop the lighthouse. The PCs investigate, but find nothing. They re-enter the cellar and prepare to destroy the root growth.
Amed & Hurrak appear, and order the PCs to leave the growth alone. Reginald charms the retainers, although his charm isn’t fully effective.
The PCs briefly leave the cellar to strategise. They hear Amed & Hurrak moving boxes. When the PCs reopen the cellar, they see only a ladder leading down into darkness.
The cave
The PCs descend, and suddenly find themselves in the lighthouse’s living quarters, in the middle of the day. Wake & Winslow are there, and they identify the PCs as their relief.
After seeing only one boat at the lighthouse dock, the PCs convince Wake & Winslow to stay on the island. The PCs then remove the lighthouse cellar door from its hinges and re-enter the cellar.
Where the root growth was, they find a long, corridor-like cave covered in glowing purple roots.
Old friends
While moving through the cave, the PCs hear Damian’s voice trying to intimidate them. They then encounter and defeat 2 giant vampire bats and a Carcass Crawler.
The PCs reach the end of the cave and find the cellar’s root growth. They destroy what they can reach with their weapons.
Victory?
The PCs return to the surface, where it is now night again. At the living quarters, they find Amed & Hurrak acting normal, albeit stressed over the PC’s lengthy absence.
Reginald realises that Wake & Winslow’s moonshine smells similar to the strange root growth. The PCs then destroy all moonshine they can find.
