- PCsReginald & Sir Ares beat back the Sahuagin raiding party.
- PCs dock at Port Yulia, spread word of Sahuagin at Lake Iris, and recruit two retainers: Hurrak and Amed.
- PCs reach The Crescent and Elder Point Light, where they meet the strange Wake & Winslow.
Sahuagin
PCsReginald & Sir Ares defeat the Sahuagin Chieftain, and the remaining Sahuagin retreat. Hazun and a few of the sailors are killed in the battle.
Reginald honours the casualties with a small ceremony, and he senses that their remaining time on Lake Iris will be without danger.
The assistant merchant Relma decides to dock at Port Yulia for repairs. She splits Hazun’s wealth 3 ways with herself, the PCs, and the sailors/guards.
Port Yulia
The PCs spend a night in Port Yulia. They write to Leonard, explaining that Sahuagin are attacking ships on Lake Iris. They also tell this information to those in their inn’s common room.
The PCs hire two of Hazun’s guards as retainers: Hurrak and Amed. They buy a row boat and journey to The Crescent.
Winslow
While docking, the PCs see a figure standing on top of Elder Point Light.
PCs reach the lighthouse and encounter a dishevelled lighthouse keeper named Winslow. Winslow doesn’t know his partner’s whereabouts or who was on top of the lighthouse.
Winslow reads Leonard’s letter, although he claims not to have seen anything strange while working.
Elder Point Light
Winslow gives the PCs a tour of the lighthouse. They learn that the light itself is a magically rotating light spell which makes a disconcerting whining sound. As they leave, violent winds make it difficult for Ares to shut the lighthouse door.
Winslow takes the PCs to his living quarters and offers them moonshine. The PCs are suspicious and re-search the lighthouse but find nothing.
Ares again has difficulty closing the lighthouse door, and so she leaves it open. When the PCs look back, they see the door has closed itself. The PCs investigate the door further but find nothing. Winslow then has no trouble closing it.
Wake
In the night, the retainers alert the PCs after hearing noise outside. The PCs open the door and find the other dishevelled lighthouse keeper: Wake.
The PCs ask Wake if there’s been strange happenings on the Crescent. He sits them down and asks where he should begin.
