• The PCsRandall & Ben and Jago defeat three of Odran Newgreave’s men, killing at least 18 citizens of Soleme and destroying Showdown in the process.

An unexpected beginning

The PCsRandall & Ben split up and flank Odran Newgreave’s men. Ben surprises the leader by attacking immediately, Jago engages the biggest of Odran’s men, and Randall blasts all three with magic.

The thug leader tells the spectating crowd to help, lest they too make an enemy of Odran Newgreave. This causes 11 drunken citizens to join the fray.

Odran’s man from Nesai coats his blade with poison and lunges at Randall, who manages to dodge. At the same time, the biggest thug devastates Jago with his club.

A destructive middle

Ben swiftly kills the thug leader and the man from Nesai. Randall kills several of the drunken mob with a blast of magic. The big thug throws Jago over the first floor railing and into the ground floor arena. He then throws a table at the PCs, but only damages Randall.

Ben unleashes a Fireball from Alaxar’s ring towards the back wall of Showdown. The ensuing explosion incinerates the last of the drunken mob, and brings the civilian death count to at least 18. However, Odran’s last man somehow resists the powerful spell. He falls to the ground floor as half of the first floor collapses.

The PCs rush downstairs while Showdown’s surviving patrons scramble for the exit. They see Odran’s last man emerge from the flames and charge at Jago with his club. Fortunately, the attempted final blow is clumsy, and Jago’s block breaks the club. The PCs join Jago, and fell Odran’s last man.

A hopeless end

The PCs and Jago run through Showdown’s flaming wreckage and into several guards of Soleme. The guards order them to lay down their weapons.

Randall casts invisibility on Ben, who then makes an opening by pushing one of the guards aside.

The PCs and Jago run into the streets surrounding Reiner’s Square, in search of an escape. As they run, they hear the guards of Soleme closing in from all sides.
