Hallie
A.B.S. Hallie checks in on Ben, and teases him for getting stabbed by Nathan Goldman. Ben tells Randall to check on something above deck, and Randall leaves confused. At the door, Balerion appears and tells Randall that her carrier wishes to “create his spawn”, and so she will protect his privacy.
Randall briefly re-enters the room, doubly confused, and then leaves again (shortly after Balerion threatens to destroy him). With the moment ruined, Hallie leaves in annoyance. The PCsRandall & Ben go above deck, and wait for Soleme to draw closer.
Docking
Captain Shepard tells the PCs to get their story straight about Nathan, and Leta the assistant says Nathan’s people will be expecting him at the docks. The PCs tell Leta to follow their lead when it comes to Nathan.
A crowd gathers as the Troublemaker approaches the Southern Docks of Soleme. Randall casts fly on himself and Leta, and Ben uses Alaxar’s ring to cast Fly on himself. Together, they float over the crowd, as Shepard announces the return of the Troublemaker’s Crew, and the PCs as both the Heroes of Tarr and the slayers of the Mad Dragon.
The PCs relay some details of the expedition to the crowd, and they tell of Nathan Goldman being killed on Tarr. They also announce further celebrations at the Merryweather.
Messages
Ben summons a nearby herald, and sends a request to Jago to meet at Showdown in three days time.
The PCs then approach some of Odran Newgreave’s men. Ben gives them a letter intended for Odran, also requesting to meet at Showdown, but the thugs toss the letter and laugh. Before they walk away, they tell Ben they’ll be watching him, and he replies that he looks forward to killing them.
The Merryweather
The PCs arrive at the Merryweather, and start ordering drinks for everyone, including the innkeeper’s most powerful spirit. They draw further attention when they begin to recount some of their heroics on Tarr.
Watkins the immortal arrives at the PC’s table, awkwardly covered in clothing from head to toe. He explains he now has a whole-body rash after applying Randall’s special potion. Randall says that Watkins needed to wait a month before applying the lotion.
As Watkins is showing the PCs his rash, he attracts the sympathy of two female sailors. They become even more interested when the PCs explain he’s unkillable. The two women decide to take care of Watkins, and he looks back to the PCs in disbelief as he’s led away.
Shepard appears, and announces the return of the Troublemaker’s Crew. He tells the innkeeper that all further drinks are on him. Rick finds the PCs, and asks about the Dwarven ship. They say they intend to name it the Mad Dragon, and they also intend on assembling their own crew. Rick approves, and says they can talk further when the party is over. Hallie shoves some of the crowd aside and seats herself on Ben’s lap.
The night
Randall uses Ventriloquism to fill the Merryweather with his voice. He drunkenly recounts their journey to the Isle of Tarr to the surrounding sailors and citizens of Soleme. With Ben’s help, Randall waters down some of his drinks and manages to finish most of his storytelling before passing out. The innkeeper then has him carried to one of the rooms upstairs.
Through an incredible display of fortitude, Ben remains conscious late into the night. He sees Watkins with the two female sailors still attached to him, and now topless. Ben shares some further drinks with Hallie, then propositions her. She leads him to a random room upstairs, and kicks out some other drunken partiers before shutting the door and tossing Ben onto the bed. Completely wasted, Ben passes out the moment he lands on the mattress.
The morning
The PCs are awoken by loud banging on Randall’s door, and an angry female voice telling them to get up, as they’ve been “summoned by the High Priest Kerym Luralei.”
