• Jago is eaten by a Froghemoth in the sewers of Soleme.
• PCsRandall & Ben are defeated after making their last stand against the Froghemoth.

Battle

Ben begins to retreat from the Froghemoth, Jago charges into battle to help the PCsRandall & Ben escape, and Randall blasts the Froghemoth with the Horn of Blasting.

Randall convinces Ben to stay and fight. Ben then convinces Balerion to raise a protective wall of flame, as Hal tries and fails to blind the Froghemoth.

Jago is swallowed whole by the Froghemoth, which then barely misses Randall with one of its tentacles.

Escape

Ben picks up Randall, slings him over his shoulder, and runs back into the sewerage canal that brought them to the central chamber. The Froghemoth chases murderously.

As Ben runs, Randall blasts the Froghemoth several times with the Horn of Blasting – each time avoiding the Horn’s chance of backfiring. In the waste water running beside them, the PCs also notice rippling movements keeping pace with them.

Death

Randall sees the Froghemoth is almost dead, and urges Ben to turn and fight. Ben sets Randall down, and charges with his rapier, but fails to damage the Froghemoth.

Ben summons Balerion, who tries to kill the Froghemoth with flame, but she fails to damage it at all. Randall then lets Hal take all of his remaining energy to blind the Froghemoth.

With Randall unconscious beside him, Ben holds his ground against the Froghemoth. The beast continues its onslaught, and despite being blinded and deafened, it easily scoops up Ben into its jaws and consumes him.
