• Randall spies on First mate Rick, A.B.S. Hallie, Burns the swabby, and Lavias the bard at the third dig site.
• PCsRandall & Ben find and destroy several Wyrmling eggs.
• Randall blows the Horn of Blasting underground, annihilating several Wyrmlings.
• PCs find the remains of Mosor and his dwarves undergound, as well as some treasure.

Third dig site

While in gaseous form, Randall sees First mate Rick, A.B.S. Hallie, Burns the swabby, and Lavias the bard at the third dig site. The sailors are grabbing supplies for Nathan Goldman, and Lavias is returning from the PC’s tents. Randall watches until they depart the dig site, then returns to Ben.

Ben asks Hal about his relationship with the Swarm. Hal suggests that he and the Swarm are related in much the same way as Randall and the Swarm.

Underground

The PCs continue searching the underground tunnels without a proper light source, and despite hearing monstrous screeches from deeper in the tunnels.

They pass an obstructed room which Hal thinks contains ceremonial carvings. They then find a grand pair of ornate doors, sealed by a complex locking system. The PCs realise the monstrous screeching is drawing nearer. But with the help of Ben’s Chime of Opening, they manage to open and pass through the ornate doors. As they shut them, they hear ferocious activity on the other side.

Wyrmlings

The PCs find themselves in a room full of large Wyrmling eggs, which then begin to start hatching. They destroy most of the eggs, and easily dispatch two Wyrmlings that manage to hatch.

The PCs then decide to deal with the threat still lurking behind the ornate doors. Randall wields his Horn of Blasting, while Ben wrenches the doors open.

As the doors swing open, Randall sees nine bigger Wyrmlings. Each of them rears up and opens its jaws, and an orange glow appears in the back of their throats. Randall wastes no time. He points the Horn of Blasting forward, and blows.

Victory

The Horn’s blast annihilates the Wyrmlings, and rattles the underground tunnels. Hal protects Ben by blocking his ears, but passes on some damage to Randall in the process. The Horn remains intact.

Pleased with themselves, the PCs explore the rest of the underground tunnels that haven’t collapsed. They find another chamber with several hatched eggs, and the grisly remains of Mosor and his dwarves. They also find a Ring of Fire Resistance, 9 obsidians (10gp each), and a gold cup set with emeralds (7500gp).
